Bringing additional art to the Park

We're taking the first steps towards developing a public arts strategy for Granta Park.

Working with the Contemporary Art Society - who were commissioned previously by BioMed Realty to develop The Hive at Babraham Research Campus - the goal is to enhance wellbeing and creative curiosity among tenants and visitors to Granta Park.

Art can bring:

  • Interest, activation and engagement
  • Participation, debate and discussion
  • Increased connection with the natural world and one another
  • Heightened sense of wellbeing and engagement
  • Feeling of ownership and pride in common spaces.

A steering group has started meeting, featuring representatives from schools, the community, tenants and BioMed Realty.

Supported by the Contemporary Art Society, the steering group’s role will be to review and advise on the plan as the project develops, take part in the selection process, and provide advocacy for the public art programme at local and wider levels.
