We’re thrilled to announce our support for the UK non-profit, Give Your Best! This incredible organisation is dedicated to addressing clothing poverty and promoting sustainability within the fashion industry. With the UK discarding £140 million worth of clothing to landfill each year, and over 5.5 million people in the UK living in clothing poverty, Give Your Best aims to bridge this gap.
One of the ways they achieve this is by providing vulnerable communities with the opportunity to shop for free, helping them regain their confidence and live their lives with both personal and professional empowerment.
Our support with Give Your Best will officially kick off in May, and we’re excited to have the Founder of the organisation, Sol join us at the next tenant meeting on 8th May to share more about the amazing work they’re doing.
How you can get involved?
Sign up to having a Bestie Bin in your office in May - These cost £350 each and this cost covers the bin and the safe package and delivery of 40 items, to give any donations a new home. These bins would sit in your office and people can donate their items directly into them. Email admin@grantapark.co.uk to sign up for a bin.
Join the Community Action Day (28 May) - See exactly how the GYB team get donations to people who need them by volunteering your time to pack orders from Park donations in the McClintock Conference Room on the Park. Email admin@grantapark.co.uk to come along.
